Who are Lawyer’s Staffing’s candidates?

Lawyer’s Staffing candidates are attorneys, paralegals and legal support staff ranging from senior level attorneys to receptionists.

How are candidates selected?

We continually search the market for skilled legal professionals. Our extensive network allows us to find qualified candidates for most roles.

Our candidates undergo an evaluation process that includes a detailed application, skills inventory and preference analysis, a thorough face-to-face interview and evaluation, and reference checks. We conduct background checks upon request. Only candidates who successfully complete these requirements are selected to represent Lawyer’s Staffing.

Who will be conducting my interview?

An experienced legal recruiter will conduct your interview and assist you throughout the employment process. All Lawyer’s Staffing recruiters are either attorneys, JD's, or paralegals and have significant experience in both recruiting and the law. Therefore, they are extremely familiar with the needs and requirements of today’s legal profession.

How often do I get paid?

Lawyer’s Staffing issues paychecks weekly on Fridays. You will have funds directly deposited into your bank account at no additional charge.

Am I an independent contractor?

No, you are an employee of Lawyer’s Staffing and therefore subject to the usual taxation. You will receive a W-2 from Lawyer’s Staffing for every year you are employed by us.

How long will it take to find me a job?

Placement hinges on several factors, including experience, availability, and the needs of our clients. We cannot guarantee placement within a specific time frame, however, we will inform you of positions meeting your qualifications as they become available.

Who are your clients?

Lawyer’s Staffing works with the majority of Virginia’s law firms ranging from solo practitioners to international law firms as well as corporate legal departments, government agencies and title companies in and around Richmond, Hampton Roads, and Northern VA as well as in the Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte NC areas.

Do I have to pay a fee to work with Lawyer’s Staffing?

No. Lawyer’s Staffing is paid by our clients to locate the best candidates available for their open positions. No fee is charged to our candidates.

In which geographic locations do you place candidates?

We have offices in Richmond, Hampton Roads, McLean VA and and Raleigh and Charlotte, NC therefore have clients in Tidewater, the Peninsula, Richmond and surrounding areas, Northern Virginia, Charlotte NC, and the Raleigh-Durham NC areas.

How will I know where my resume is sent?

Lawyer’s Staffing does not submit your resume to any of its clients without first discussing the position with you to determine your level of interest.

What is the registration process?

First, our legal recruiters will review your resume. If we determine that your experience level is such that we can place you, you will be contacted for a phone interview. An in depth, face-to-face interview is scheduled following the successful completion of a phone interview. At this time, the recruiter will discuss with you your employment history, education, salary expectations, geographic preferences, and intangibles. References will be checked and background checks will be conducted. Once we are satisfied that you will be a good match for our clients, you be invited to join our pool of candidates.
